Inspired by Jean-Michel Folon’s painting (1909-1992), the Artwork transforms one of the Belgian Artist’s most representative works, into a tangible three-dimensional piece.
The Glass sculpture is manufactured by Glass Master Mario Furlan.
Born in Valona in 1942, Luigi Voltolina arrived in Venice at the age of two, with the repatriation of his family. After graduating in Graphic Arts at the Venice Art Institute, he worked for a brief time at the Toso Brothers Glass Factories in Murano.
Within the factories, he encounters the Murano world for the first time, as well as the prime substance that is handled on the Island: Glass.
