The sculpture is the first piece from an unfinished series which, in the artist's will, should have represented - in a figurative way - the seven capital sins. Specifically, this work represents pride.
Born in Favaro Veneto in 1944, Pino Signoretto has been one of the greatest glass artists of the 20th century and of the last 20 years. Glass had bewitched him as a child, at the age of 9, when he began to attend Murano glass factories and where he felt at heart, he had to learn the art of glassmaking.
