Pino Signoretto

Born in Favaro Veneto in 1944, Pino Signoretto has been one of the greatest glass artists of the 20th century and of the last 20 years. Glass had bewitched him as a child, at the age of 9, when he began to attend Murano glass factories and where he felt at heart, he had to learn the art of glassmaking.

His studio in Murano became a worldwide reference for artistic glass creations, renowned for mastery of the craft, technical skills, and rfined research. He collaborated with Artists and Architects of the time such as Dalí, Vedova, Licata, Kruft, Dal Pezzo, Vitali, Pomodoro and Willson. His fame was such that the Japanese Imperial Family invited him to introduce his Art before the presence of the Emperor. He took part in countless personal and collective exhibitions and countless are the awards and recognitions that he received during his career.

Pino lived his story with glass as a daily challenge, and every day he enjoyed reproducing perfect animals, figurative or abstract shapes in glass thanks to his talent, his passion and all the secrets he learned during his years of work. The sculptures of his conception are real fireworks of virtuosity and experimentation and are exhibited in important museums all over the world.

The artist passed away in December 2017 due to complications related to his chronic diabetic status.
