Inspired by the pictorial works of Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1527-1593), the face is an ensamble of sculptural virtuosity: the difficulty of the work lies in the ability to assemble whilst molten, without defects or inaccuracies, the dozens of fruits made of multicolored glass that compose the vegetable face.

Born in Favaro Veneto in 1944, Pino Signoretto has been one of the greatest glass artists of the 20th century and of the last 20 years. Glass had bewitched him as a child, at the age of 9, when he began to attend Murano glass factories and where he felt at heart, he had to learn the art of glassmaking.
