Mauro Puccitelli

Mauro Puccitelli was born in Cingoli (MC) on 25 April 1952.
Having graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, for many decades he taught painting in various Italian schools. Having fallen in love with Murano glass, he frequented the Masters Vittorio Costantini and Pino Signoretto who directed him towards lampworking, of which he later became the undisputed master.

Having settled with his family in the Marche town of Apiro (MC), he is committed full-time to the processing of glass through lampwork, through the creation of incomparable works and, maintaining a link with the world of teaching, transferring the skills acquired to his students, through more than 40 years of activity.
"The underlying theme of my works is always nature, the teacher and creative mother of everything. I like to protect natural environments that are often put at risk and even imaginary ones in a glass bubble. With the glass bubble I want to underline their delicacy, beauty and the care that we all owe them. Glass and I have been dealing with each other, clashing and meeting for more than 40 years now, but I believe and hope that this relationship will never end".
